Your role

We are looking for an engineer for the Materials Technology group in Luleå. The role involves a varied and developing job where you support LKAB's production facilities with materials technology issues. You will, among other things, work with investigations and analyses related to our processes and products. You will primarily work with failure investigations, material selection issues, and development projects within the materials technology area in close collaboration with LKAB's maintenance and development departments. The work is varied and includes both theoretical and practical elements, including laboratory work and reporting.

You will be part of an engaged team that takes joint responsibility and works closely with maintenance engineers, research and development groups, and external actors.

What you bring with you

You are a person who enjoys problem-solving and has the ability to analyze complex relationships. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, while being communicative and collaborating well with colleagues and customers. You are not afraid to take initiative and ask for help when needed.

We expect you to:

  • Be a civil engineer with a focus on materials technology (e.g., mechanical engineering, technical physics, chemical engineering)
  • Master English in speech and writing
  • Have a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience with ceramic materials
  • Experience working in materials technology laboratories
